Roll up, Roll up to the Winchester Party in the Park 2017

News provided by Winchester Party in the Park on Monday 24th Jul 2017

Winchester Party in the Park 2017 is almost upon us with our biggest free to enter event yet. Including Funfair, Zorbing, Children’s Farm, Children’s Go Karting, Dog Agility display, Cycle Stunt display, Laser Quest, Reptile and Amphibians, Emergency Response vehicles, Rubicon Skate Park Workshop, and more much more. On the Stage, we have a wide variety of music, dancing and magic acts including Gabz from Britain’s Got Talent.

We also have Friends of King Alfred Buses joining us this year, which will be providing free vintage bus trips throughout the afternoon.

The event will take place at the Somers Close Recreation Ground in Stanmore on Saturday 29th July 2017 between 12:00 and 17:00 and is absolutely free to enter, though charges do apply to some of the activities. For more details and information, why not visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/wpitp or our website www.wpitp.org.uk or message us on Twitter @wpitp.

This year’s event is being organised by Winchester Party in the Park, a small group of volunteers, supported by officers from Winchester City Council and A2Dominion Housing Association. Whom have contributed a significant amount of support and funding for the event,

It would also not be possible for the event to take place without the generous support of our sponsors, who this year include the National Lottery, One Stop, Hampshire County Council, University of Winchester, Osborne, PH Jones, Snug Architects and Millwood Training and Friends of King Alfred Buses, to whom we are very grateful.

If you would like to consider sponsoring an activity and making a donation for next year’s event, then please do get in touch via our Facebook page or email partyinthepark@winchester.gov.uk

From next year the organisation of the event will take a more formalised structure and we are looking for more volunteers to take a bigger role in the management of this and other events. If interested in getting involved email chair.wpitp@btinternet.com.

Do you have ideas for smaller events in the city or other community organisations requiring wishing help and support with their events? Winchester Party in the Park is just the beginning
