Thanks to the generous support of Hampshire County Council, A2Dominion, the University of Winchester and Winchester City Council, Winchester Party in the Park 2019 promises to be another fantastic event, with an exciting array of activities, events and performances being lined up for the day. Lots of the regular activities seen last year, such as the Funfair, Scoot Jam, Laser Quest, Children’s Petting Farm and Children’s Go karting will be making an appearance again this year, but we also have some new attractions including Battlefield South, Gladiator Jousting and Boogie Bounce which should add lots more fun and excitement to this years event.

The event will take place at the Somers Close Recreation Ground in Stanmore on Saturday 27th July 2017 between 12:00 and 17:00 and is absolutely free to enter, though charges do apply to some of the activities. The event also offers the opportunity for local community groups, organisations and businesses to promote their goods, activities or services to the local community, with many stall pitches for hire. If you’d like more information on availability and prices, then please email partyinthepark@winchester.gov.uk or call Mark on 01962 848518, but please hurry if you want to take advantage of a 20% early bird discount you need to get your application in by Friday 24th May 2019.

Performances will also be taking place on or near the main stage with the Romsey Old Cadets, So it Goes, Salsa Y Sol already confirmed. This year’s event has again been organised by Winchester Party in the Park (WPITP), a small group of volunteers supported by officers from Winchester City Council. The WPITP group are always looking to strengthen their committee, so if you feel you have suitable skills and experience to offer we’d really like to hear from you, particularly if they are in Finance, Information Technology, Event Management or Social Media.
