Lottery Winner all Washed Up

News provided by lotto365 on Thursday 28th Jan 2016

A distraught grandmother from England found out that the £33 Million Lottery ticket she bought for the UK National Lottery was in tatters in her jeans.

The 64 year old bought her ticket from a local shop in Warndon, Ambleside in the North of England.

She only realised that she might have won when Camelot, the UK National Lottery operator, announced that the ticket was bought from the same shop she had bought her ticket.

After rummaging through all her bags and wardrobe to locate the ticket it then dawned on her that the jeans she had been wearing to buy the ticket had been through the washing machine.

All that remained was a sodden piece of paper with the numbers barely visible.

She rushed to the shop and the shopkeeper kindly advised her to put the ticket onto cardboard so no more damage would occur and then to send it off to Camelot for verification.

The devastated woman is now waiting for an answer but before she has received anything she is already inundated with begging letters.

This debacle really supports the idea that buying tickets online is the way forward.

When asked about the most secure and best way to purchase lottery tickets Julie Anderson from Lotto365.com, an official lottery ticket vendor, said "There is no chance this ever happening with Lotto365.com.

We buy the tickets on the clients behalf and then we scan them to the clients account. We then immediately place the tickets in our safety deposit box until after the draw. There is no chance of tickets being lost, stolen or being ruined in the wash." She continued that "An even better way of increasing your chance of winning the lottery without ever handling the tickets is with MegaLines tickets, since Lotto365.com buys lots of tickets on our members behalf and then we collect any winnings and disburse any winnings directly to our members accounts. Members can also avoid forgetting to buy by subscribing to any of Lotto365.com's tickets or MegaLines."

The Camelot inquiry continues and we will update you as soon as news is released.
