"When I draw, I think about peace and home." Philanthropists created clothes with prints of drawings made by children who lost their parents during the war.

Winter holidays are coming soon, and this year, more than ever, it is worth filling it with warmth. A T-shirt or long sleeve with a print from the wards of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund can be an excellent gift for your friends and family.

The Foundation's wards are children who lost one or both parents during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Art therapy classes and drawing help children rehabilitate after traumatic events.

It is much more complicated for children than adults to find words to express their feelings. Art therapy helps to solve such difficulties, - explains Marta Bilyk, a psychologist of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund.

"It is possible to express what is difficult to say in words with the help of drawings, symbols, and own created plots. An effective way to eliminate negative emotions, pain, and irritation is when a child draws, sculpts, and creates something with his hands. The child regains a sense of security and new strength to overcome the troubles that happen in life."

"I like to draw animals and nature; I always worry that the drawing will turn out as best as possible. When a psychologist is around, it makes me feel better" - Olya, 9.

"I imagine my family and flowers. I want everything to be good" - Ira, 6.

"I often manage to draw game characters. It is interesting. And it is even cooler at art therapy because someone wants to learn more about me" - Mykyta, 11.

The Children of Heroes Charity Fund and the online store "CustomPrint," launched a campaign to sell clothes with drawings of the Fund's wards to help children rehabilitate and return to everyday life.

Ordering such merchandise for yourself or as a gift for loved ones is an easy way to help children. You can see examples of clothing by following the link.

"50% of the Foundation's wards were forced to leave their homes and build their lives from scratch, - says Anna Khomenko, Executive Director of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund. Currently, most families are at the stage of grieving, so it is crucial to help them to restore their inner strength and meet the most basic needs of families. This support will further develop into more strategic programs (training, mentoring, and career guidance) for which we also take responsibility."

The Children of Heroes Charity Fund takes care of more than 1400 children who lost one or both parents due to the war. The Foundation aims to take care of 5000 children, which will help minimize the loss of the closest ones and provide them with the necessary things.

The Fund provides assistance in 6 areas, including psychological, legal, financial, medical, emergency and socialization. The organization accompanies children up to their majority and focuses on a decent, active, educated life.

If you know children who lost their parents in the war and need support, please pass the contacts of the Fund to their guardians.
