Watch Ricardo Kaka Former FIFA Ballon d'Or Winner Take The Shoot for Love Challenge

News provided by Shoot For Love on Thursday 18th Feb 2016

Ricardo Kaka is the latest sporting luminary to take part in the Shoot for Love football-archery challenge. Nominated by Frank Lampard, the Orlando City SC midfielder was keen to beat Lampard's score of 80 points and raise vital funds for children with cancer.

Participants in the Shoot for Love challenge take 10 shots at an oversized archery target from 10 metres away. Each bull's eye earns 10 points, with points reducing as distance from the bull's eye increases. For every point scored the Korean Association for Children with Leukemia and Cancer along with sponsors such as PlayDog Soft make a generous donation to help children with cancer.

After shooting 10 times, Ricardo had racked up an impressive 78 points, just 2 shy of nominee Frank Lampard's score, although he did hit the bull's eye twice.

Patrice Evra recently shot to the top of the leader board, knocking John Terry and Jonjo Shelvey into 2nd position.

The global challenge is set to continue after Ricardo Kaka nominated Neymar, David Luiz and Andrea Pirlo to participate. Evra nominated Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs and Paul Pogba.

Jun Kim, Director of the Shoot for Love Challenge, said, 'We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Kaka for his valuable time to help the children suffering with cancer.'

'The campaign has already attracted football royalty from around the world, with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, Spanish legends Carles Puyol and Raul Gonzalez, Chelsea F.C. Captain, John Terry, New York City FC midfielder Frank Lampard, Tottenham Hotspur Forward Harry Kane, PSV Eindhoven manager Phillip Cocu and many others raising funds for children with cancer.'

The Shoot for Love campaign is organised by Be Kind and the Korean Association for Children with Leukemia and Cancer. Since May, the challenge has raised over $200,000.
