The Lost Lanes goes online promoting independent UK designers

News provided by The Lost Lanes on Wednesday 24th Apr 2013

The Lost Lanes has now launched online, promoting independent UK designers internationally.

With a shared love for creative talent husband and wife team Michael and Raquel have set up an online retail store giving a platform and voice to independent UK designers.

Living in East London and taking advantage of the markets and creative art scene that surrounded them, Michael and Raquel began searching blogs and social media networks to get a taste of what else existed outside of the East London hub. Encouraged to discover a large array of fashion, jewellery, accessories and home décor all designed and handmade in the UK, they decided it was time to share their discoveries. One afternoon over a beer in their local to escape the winter snow The Lost Lanes was born.

With the burdens of the financial crisis and the sad closures of more and more independent boutiques on local high streets and shopping Lanes, The Lost Lanes aims to bring back something that we have lost, the excitement of discovering something unique and quirky in your local Lanes, showcasing the talent and passion that exists in the designers that they find and bringing them directly to you.

“Our mission is simple and clear to only take on and showcase designers who are just that, designers, people who built their ideas from dream to concept. We are proud of the community we are building, we are excited about The Lost Lanes and we hope that shows in the work that we do to promote it.” (Michael Wallace Co-founder)
