Rewilding community gathers in Brighton as government view unclear on nature and climate

News provided by Heal Rewilding on Friday 7th Oct 2022

With the new government yet to give specifics on its environment and climate policies, over 60 people interested in rewilding, climate and well-being will be coming together at an event in Brighton on 11 October held by the nature recovery and climate charity Heal Rewilding.

The event runs from 6-9pm at the Brighthelm Centre and features a diverse and knowledgeable panel: Brighton and Hove’s own Kate Bradbury, the award-winning writer, broadcaster and TV presenter, specialising in wildlife gardening; Jasmine Isa Qureshi (they/she), a writer, freelance journalist, photographer, wildlife film-maker, artist, activist, conservationist and podcaster; and Penny Green, the resident ecologist at Knepp Wildland in Sussex, England's best-known rewilding project. Penny manages the Knepp Safaris team, volunteers and research students, and co-ordinates the biological monitoring of the rewilding project.

Tickets are from £5 with a small Eventbrite fee and we also have free tickets for students and people from very low-income backgrounds if they apply (details on the Eventbrite page). Our website is www.healrewilding.org.uk.
