New UK homebrew magazine helps you craft your own perfect pint

The UK homebrew scene is growing rapidly, particularly following lockdown this year. An accessible pastime, which can produce brilliant beers at the fraction of the price of commercial brews, homebrewing has potential for turning tentative beginners into master craft brewers. Founded last year by hop farmer and homebrewer, Gareth Davies, MASHED! Magazine is published quarterly from Davies’s hop farm HQ in rural Devon. Having a background in publishing has helped him turn his vision into reality: “I was bored by the generic homebrewing mags out there”, says Davies. “It was time there was one that matched the refreshing and creative image of the modern homebrew and craft beer scene.”

And it’s not just homebrewers who love this magazine; interesting interviews with independent breweries and articles on what’s hot - well, cool - in the world of beer, makes MASHED! a vital read for any discerning beer lover. The latest issue boasts interviews with wild fermentation mavericks Wild Beer Co as well as small beer pioneers The Small Beer Brew Co. Plus a reader generated Q&A with yeast experts White Labs.
