Mattressman's 10th Birthday

It's celebration time for one Norwich-based company! Mattressman, a mattress and bedding company that operates nationwide, is this week marking a whole decade since it took its first order online.

Starting out in the corner of Managing Director Andrew Kerry's first business, Kerry's Carpets in North Walsham, Mattressman has gone from strength to strength over the past ten years. The company now employs over 100 people, has twelve bricks and mortar stores across the east of England and the Greater London area, and is able to deliver mattresses, bed frames, divans and bedding accessories nationwide thanks to the development by Andrew of specially reinforced packaging to ensure safe transportation. Just last year, Mattressman completely rebuilt their website, making it fully responsive to keep up with the increasing demand for tablet- and mobile-friendly e-commerce sites, as well as improving the site's speed and making it easier for customers to search and buy.

Mattressman pride themselves on their speedy delivery times, usually being able to guarantee next day delivery on all orders placed before 4pm. Their prices are also markedly lower than those of many of their competitors, with brands such as Silentnight, Hypnos and Sealy Posturepedic available at bargain prices. It is perhaps these attributes that helped to earn the company a Fast Track Award in 2009, with the Sunday Times naming Mattressman among the top ten fastest growing companies in the UK. Glowing feedback on reviews sites such as Trust Pilot certainly suggest the company is deserving of its success.

Speaking about the tenth anniversary, Andrew said: "I am very proud of what I and the dedicated team of staff at Mattressman have achieved over the past ten years. We have plans for more stores in other areas in addition to the twelve already open, so I am very hopeful and confident that this is only the beginning and that Mattressman will continue to thrive."
