New Catalogue published on the 50th Anniversary of the first Commemorative Presentation Pack issued by the Royal Mail
Fifty years to the day since the initial commemorative stamp presentation pack was issued by the Royal Mail celebrating the Shakespeare Festival in 1964, Packs & Cards are pleased to announce the release of the first ever presentation packs catalogue, "British Presentation Packs".
This definitive guide to British Presentation Packs is illustrated in colour throughout and 220 pages. The catalogue has been designed to be easy to use and have the depth of detail for the specialist collector.
The catalogue contains a price guide for all the presentation packs listed, ranging from £1.50 to £5,000. Every Royal Mail pack is illustrated with a description, a checklist box and guide price. Several new 'types' of pre-decimal packs have been discovered and are included together with new sections, such as previously unlisted Format Packs.
Ian Andrew, the editor of the catalogue, says "considering Presentation Packs easily outsell First Day Covers in the marketplace, it is surprising no one has released a catalogue before now."
The British Presentation Packs catalogue retails at £24.95 and is available from all good stamp dealers and booksellers.
