Finally, I found the one that wasn’t in it for my money!

This Valentine's Day, let me tell you the story about how I met 'the one'.

I'd reached that age when I was looking for something more. I wanted to feel desired. I was looking for that perfect match, that someone who would get to know me and what I had to offer, and would say "You, Gemma, are the one I need, because together I know we can make amazing things happen."

I'd felt this way for quite some time and was ready to commit. I had even been online to see if I could find my dream match there, but the complicated websites requiring you to enter your life story into a form to then twiddle your thumbs in the hope of a half-interesting match got tiresome and I gave up. I figured it wasn't meant to be.

And then one day a friend of mine told me about a website that changed everything, "what have you got to loose" she said. And sure enough this time it was different. This was a website that let me quickly enter a few details and then search through a list of absolute crackers straight away. I had so many amazing matches that I was blown away and couldn't wait to respond to the ones that really caught my eye. And what was really special was that not one of them was in it for my money (a refreshing change I can tell you!). They just wanted me, my time and my passion, and they understood as a busy career woman I only had so much time to give. Needless to say, I was pretty darn excited!

So how did I choose 'the one' out of all those options? Well, I went for the one I was most attracted to. The one I thought I was most compatible with. That special one that got me excited and that I believed I could offer the most to. And I tell you, four months later I know I'm on to something pretty amazing.

So, if you're looking for that bit on the side that'll make you feel as fulfilled as I do, this Valentine's Day visit Fcancer.org. Funny name for a match-making site, isn't it?!
