Avant Garde Ideals Extremely Proud of Manchester’s Entrepreneurial Success
Tuesday 12 August, 2014
Start-ups have helped consistently throughout the UK’s recent economic struggle.
Following the news that Prime Minister David Cameron has praised the region for its ‘entrepreneurial spirit’, Avant Garde Ideals celebrates Manchester’s business success and encourages more entrepreneurship.
A report has named Manchester as the entrepreneur capital of the UK due to a recent government assessment. Due to its increased level of growth and the percentage of Startups established in the region within the last 3 years it appears that the northern city is quickly becoming the leader of the pack when it comes to entrepreneurial thinking local Sales and marketing company Avant Garde Ideals are thrilled with the news and incredibly proud that the region is getting recognition for its business success.
According to government findings Manchester has received almost £1.4 million pounds for Startups, more than anywhere else in the country. The funding is the result of a government lead programme launched in 2012 to support the growth and establishment of new businesses to allow them a greater shot at success.
Since the beginning of the coalition government in 2010, 300,000 new businesses have been launched across the UK, with 50,000 of those establishing themselves as recently as April. Prime Minister David Cameron applauded the regions pioneering spirit and stated that backing young businesses is a key part of the conservatives’ long term plan for a complete economic recovery.
Startup businesses have been openly praised in the national media for supporting the UK economy during the recent downturn. They are well known for providing job opportunities to those who may otherwise be unable to work. Many Startups pride themselves for being a hub for fresh and innovative thinking which makes young graduates and creatives the ideal candidates. The environment and working hours allows them the opportunity to reach their full potential in an engaging environment. Startups are also generally open to the new government flexible working hour’s policy; meaning that even those with family commitments or further education opportunities can still get back into work.
The inclusive environment created by Startups didn’t go unnoticed by the Prime Minister, when speaking about Manchester’s thriving businesses; David Cameron cited the funding scheme to be a success and praised start up owners for bringing more jobs to the capital and for following through with their business ideas. A government analysis claims that 46,000 people have got back into work through the programme. More than 1100 loans have been handed out thanks to the northern based scheme, and the Prime Minister is set to visit a selection of the 500 Manchester based Startups established by previously unemployed people who sought help through the scheme.
Avant Garde Ideals believe that the results of the report are a good representation of the positivity currently felt across the region. Startups have helped consistently throughout the UK’s recent economic struggle. The small enterprises help to lift communities and improve the outlook of an area. A strong base of small Startups not only encourages more businesses to invest in an area, they also bring much needed funds back into their local communities through taxes and working closely with local suppliers and contractors.
