Capstar Chauffeurs is the brainchild of ex "Blues and Royals" officers Charlie Bowmont and Rob Bassett-Cross

"I decided that it was time to consider the future of our wounded service men and women beyond today and indeed tomorrow and to come up with a solution which would provide real employment opportunities in a commercial environment". Charlie Bowmont explains, "The first challenge was to identify a business sector we believed would benefit from the skillsets of ex-service personnel and where some of the physical challenges they face would not impinge on their work. After significant research and spending time with service personnel, their commanding officers and experts in the re-integration of ex-military personnel into everyday life, we arrived at the idea of Capstar Chauffeurs."

Charlie continues;

"To be a truly excellent chauffeur you need to possess: integrity, trust, discipline and these are the core military values instilled and drilled in to every member of the armed forces. Capstar Chauffeurs is a very different type venture in its structure. It is a totally commercial operation which relies on the success of its service for its future. I like to think of us as a sort of partnership, with all of our chauffeurs working together to provide a career for more ex-service personnel as they exit the forces".

Charlie goes on to explain: "Capstar Chauffeurs has also recently launched its own operation in New York, under the management of former U.S. Black Hawk pilot Casey Martinez. And there is no reason to think that this initiative could not go global. Chauffeuring is a vocation where an injured ex-soldier can compete on equal terms. Our mission is to inspire ex-service personnel who are injured, disabled or facing adversity, providing them with a new career and a certain future."

As many of Capstar's clients are senior executives and entrepreneurs, Capstar Chauffeurs has partnered with Work on Wheels and their converted vehicles.

Work on Wheels' Mercedes Vianos that have been completely re-engineered, transforming them into state of the art office environments for up to 4 people.

The partnership has been so successful that Work on Wheels has had to commission additional vehicles for their fleet.

"The fit is perfect," comments Mark Strachan, Co-founder of Work on Wheels, "Capstar's clients include some of the busiest and most successful business people in the world and our mobile office combined with the military efficiency of Capstar and its chauffeurs provides them with a perfect platform to maximize their productivity."

Mark goes on to explain the partnership in further depth; "This is a true two way relationship as we use Capstar to supply drivers for our own clients, who then also benefit from the quality of service provided by Capstar's drivers."

So what can the Work on Wheels and Capstar partnership provide which is different?

Efficiency and productivity are two of the most frequently used expressions in modern business. Providing facilities to make the most of travelling time is frequently used by operators of airlines and train companies to differentiate from their competition. However these facilities often just represent a compromise, with slow or limited WIFI, cramped working space, not to mention a public environment where confidentiality of conversations and what you are doing on your laptop, is virtually impossible to maintain.

Business travel is also stressful with trains to change, transfers to catch and the dreaded delays or even worse cancellations of services.

A far better solution would be to travel "door to door" in an environment which provides you with everything you need to carry on working and delivers you to your destination on time, discreetly and ready to continue business.

Work on Wheels and their fleet of mobile offices provide this solution.

Each mobile office is equipped with the latest technology to enable passengers to work, hold private meetings on the move and stay in touch with colleagues and the office.

These features include:

•Fully sound proofed for a "whisper quiet" environment

•4G wifi connectivity for smartphones, laptops and tablets

•On-board PC with two integrated monitors

•Driver in separate compartment

•B&O Premium sound system

•4 x 240 volt sockets for charging or running other equipment
