UK beach weddings surge in popularity in tougher economic climate.

November is the month when couples across the UK start to think about where to celebrate their wedding day. Sitting behind the dunes of one of the UK’s most dramatic beaches, the Gallivant Hotel is already preparing itself for a busy season, welcoming couples to its chic and exclusive beach wedding destination.

“It’s the perfect choice for couples on a tight budget, looking for an alternative to the more traditional church wedding, and we’ve seen a sharp increase in bookings already for the 2013 season”, says joint owner and manager Tudor Hopkins.

The Gallivant’s location, just 20 minutes from the UK’s Ashford International train station makes it an easy destination to reach both from mainland Europe, as well from inside the UK.

When guests arrive they can expect to be seated at driftwood tables with locally sourced food prepared by Head Chef Trevor Hambley, trained by Marco Pierre White himself. Whether it’s oyster’s or shellfish, Romney marsh lamb or locally grown vegetables, the Gallivant’s food is top quality and unlike any found elsewhere in the UK. Popular travel sites, such as Trip Advisor attest to these claims to the delight of its UK and European guests.

Once the wedding day is over, eighteen coastally inspired rooms provide a hideaway for key guests while other accommodation options are available nearby. For the happy couple, the Honeymoon suite provides the perfect end to the day’s festivities.

“We’re really excited about the coming season and have a great team in place to support the activities of the big days we’ll be organising. This year we’ve added a coastal lighthouse as one of the wedding venues couples can choose from to host their wedding ceremony. The Gallivant is in a unique location because it backs onto 5-miles of sandy beach - let’s just say it’s been apportioned the blame for its fair share of fun at the wedding reception afterwards.” The Gallivant’s own on-site wedding advisor Natalie Lowe waxes lyrical.

The Gallivant Hotel is currently accepting bookings for the 2013/2014 wedding season. Weddings booked for celebration in March 2013 can expect to receive a massive £2,000 discount, bringing the cost of organizing a wedding for 80 people down to £6,800 (food and drink included).
