TrekFest The Peaks is an adventure-filled trekking challenge taking place in the stunning Peak District National Park. Taking place on Saturday 31 August, organisers Global Adventure Challenges are encouraging adventurers to sign up before the price increase at the end of April.
TrekFest is a fully supported 25km or 50km hike through stunning countryside. This year’s challenge is set to break all previous records – with over a thousand participants taking part! The event is a full weekend of adventure, which includes complimentary camping and access to the TrekFest Village, where you can soak up the pre and post event atmosphere. Those taking part will also receive a post-trek hot meal, finisher’s medal and t-shirt and even a complimentary massage!
This is the seventh year of the endurance challenge, which has helped to raise close to £2 million for charities nationwide. Company Director at Global Adventure Challenges, Peter Robinson, explains: “TrekFest is by far our most popular UK charity challenge. The atmosphere and camaraderie amongst participants is truly inspiring and we can’t wait for this year’s event – it’s set to be our biggest year yet, raising thousands for both local and national charities!”.
Past participant, Rachel Fouracre, who took part in the challenge last year said: “The whole event was incredible; the staff were friendly, supportive and just fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and the spirit within the camp was just so positive… I've memories to last me a lifetime.”
