New farms for 2014: life under canvas has never been so good!

Feather Down Farm Days holidays, are firmly lodged in the hearts of British holiday-makers with their unique offering of luxury camping on the grounds of working farms. Families in particular have embraced the experience of getting back to nature in wonderful countryside, while seeing first-hand how their food is grown and reared and even rolling up their sleeves to help out!
In fact, over 90 per cent of guests at Feather Down Farms have described their stays as ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’ and the company was twice voted ‘Top-rated UK Camping Holiday’ by influential website, Mumsnet. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Feather Down Farm Days, first established roots in the UK and the Netherlands, and has now spread to France, Germany and the USA with a total of 60 locations worldwide, each with its own special experience to offer.
There is something magical about leaving the frenetic world of screens and deadlines behind for a few days to enjoy a simpler life under canvas and take in the gentle rythms of nature. Children are thrilled to have a real working farm to explore, with animals to meet and feed and real fires to sit around at night – while adults can chill out over a glass of wine with only the stars for company.
In 2014, Feather Down Farm Days is proud to announce a new farm to welcome holidaymakers in the South Downs National Park in the UK. The region is recognised as an area of outstanding beauty, dotted with small and vibrant working communities and steeped in history and culture.
Mill Farm Lurgashall forms part of The Leconfield Estate in Petworth. The land is a mixture of arable, pasture, woodland, marshland and features a lake, while the farm is home to sheep who graze on the grassland areas and pigs who thrive in the woods. Colombian Black Tail chickens provide the eggs and the lake is renowned for its coarse fishing.

FEATHER DOWN COUNTRY RETREATS
Also new for this year, Feather Down Farm Days is thrilled to unveil four Feather Down Country Retreats. These are situated in fantastic country estates in Essex, Shropshire, Lancashire and the Scottish Borders.
