During his trip to New York City, Mr Crofts attended a business development conference, focusing on business growth. After the business conference, Mr Crofts attended an exclusive, invite-only networking event aboard a luxury yacht. Set to the backdrop of the New York skyline, those on board consisted of some of the most successful sales and marketing professionals in the U.S. It was a great opportunity for Mr Crofts to build relationships with like-minded entrepreneurs and business owners who share a common passion and vision.

“As a business owner, one of the things that I always reiterate to the people that I coach and mentor is that networking is a basic but important skill to master. It’s always great to spend time with like-minded people and to be in an educational setting. I am a firm believer that the key to success is continued education and that is the reason that at Monarch Movements we host monthly workshops and tutorials, to help our contractors expand their knowledge and skill-sets," said Managing Director at Monarch Movements, Damian Crofts.

As a business owner, Mr Crofts does a lot of travelling and he has shared his three top travel hacks for entrepreneurs.

1.Use apps

"Advances in technology have made travelling a much more pleasant experience for me,” said Mr Crofts. Mr Crofts urges travelling entrepreneurs to download available airline apps, allowing them to keep their boarding passes on their phone, which saves times and stress by eliminating the printing process.

2. Wait until the last minute to book

“While I would usually always encourage people to be prepared when it comes to travelling, in the case of booking airline tickets, it pays to wait until the last minute. Many airlines slash their prices days before departures as they want to clear their inventory, so where possible, hold off and take advantage," explained Mr Crofts.

3. Pack efficiently

“Having to wear business attire on most trips, keeping shirts looking neat can be tricky,” said Mr Crofts. The business owner shared his best packing hack, “place your belt inside your shirt collar, this will help to keep its shape and also save space,” highlighted Mr Crofts.
