News provided by MedCurrent UK Ltd. on Tuesday 16th Jul 2019

MedCurrent UK LTD, a global leader in Clinical Decision Support (CDS) software, is proud to announce that it has been accepted on the UK Crown Commercial Services (CCS) G-Cloud 11 Framework as a Cloud Software (Lot 2) supplier effective July 2, 2019. Being listed on the CCS Digital Marketplace, MedCurrent now offers its CDS solution, which leverages the Royal College of Radiologists’ (RCR) iRefer radiological investigation guidelines, as a hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription offering to UK public service organizations.

MedCurrent’s iRefer CDS solution provides clinicians with access to evidence-based radiological investigation guidelines at the point-of-care to ensure patients get the right imaging test the first time, with minimised exposure to ionising radiation. The solution integrates directly into existing Order Communications and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, such as Clinisys Integrated Clinical Environment (ICE) and Cerner Millennium™, to optimise clinical workflow and efficiency. Operationally, iRefer CDS enables referring clinicians and radiology departments to manage diagnostic imaging referrals and demand more effectively.

Commenting on the framework, Niall Quinn, Director of Technology at Crown Commercial Services (CCS) said: "G-Cloud continues to be a major success story for how we drive innovation in the public sector. G-Cloud is all about simplicity, making it as straightforward as possible for customers and suppliers to find each other."

John Adziovsky, Chief Executive Officer of MedCurrent, commented: “The G-Cloud 11 Framework will make it easier for MedCurrent to reach our customers through a more streamlined and transparent contracting process. We strongly believe that providing an efficient procurement vehicle through the G-Cloud 11 Framework will help drive more rapid adoption and deployment of our CDS solution, thus promoting value based healthcare and meaningful progress towards precision medicine in the UK healthcare market.”
