Mark Allen Group completes acquisition of Community Care from RBI

Mark Allen Group yesterday completed on its acquisition of Community Care from Reed Business Information, part of RELX Group.

Community Care’s 26-strong staff will be moving to MAG’s main offices in Herne Hill and be housed within MA Education where Community Care will sit alongside brands such as Children & Young People Now and Nursery World.

It is a highly-respected digital, subscription-based resource for social workers through two platforms, Inform Children and Inform Adults, providing contents and tools to aid professional development and good practice. Communitycare.co.uk delivers up-to-date online news and Community Care Live has separate events every year in both London and Manchester, reinforcing the training needs of care staff.

Mark Allen, who was the launch editor of Community Care in 1974 when it was then a magazine, said: “I am delighted that the consultation process has been successfully concluded. We are all excited by the opportunities that Community Care provides and we are totally committed to ensuring its continued success”.

He added: “I would personally like to thank RBI for the professional part they have played in the consultation process.”
