Lebanese American Hotelier and Artist, George Dfouni, Officially Publishes Memoir: Hard Lessons, and releases a new song: Add El Dinyeh

New York, NY, August 21, 2018:George Dfouni, a Lebanese-born, British-educated, and a proud American citizen and hotelier today pursuing his love of hospitality and artistic expression in the United States, this week announced his short memoir, Hard Lessons, has been officially published and will be released in the next few weeks.

Detailing his experiences through the American Dream, as well as the “American nightmare." George Dfouni takes the reader through trials and tribulations, heartbreak, grief, success, and excitement by the last page.

Over the last 35-years, Dfouni has worked in Europe, the Middle East, and the United States in various hospitality roles. He decided to take this musical hobby to a professional level, releasing his first album in 2012. After years of success, in September 2015, Dfouni received news that he was under federal investigation.

Taking full responsibility for the charges, Hard Lessons details his story.

“This book is about my childhood during the war in Lebanon, my father’s assassination, my college life in London, and my professional and personal life in NYC,” said Dfouni. “Mistakes and bad decisions were made, in addition to being betrayed by a close personal friend that let me down to this horrible path. I truly regret my actions and I feel very remorseful and people need to know that."

“Hard Lessons is about more than the American Dream: it’s about the effects of carelessly wandering into muddled waters until it was too late,” said Dfouni. “I believe I have a story to tell here, and I am so excited to be officially releasing my memoir, and speaking the truth. Hopefully people will learn from my mistakes in life.”

Despite the ordeal he has been dealing with, Dfouni has been surrounded by his family and close friends, remains positive and hopeful. "Music is my therapy".

The song titled Add El Dinyeh was written and composed by the famed Lebanese lyricist and composer Tony Abi Karam and arranged by one of Lebanon's best arrangers Boudi Naoum was released this week, and has already drawn over 1.5M views on Instagram.
