Kenneth Williams - A Unique Comic Talent

News provided by Pressat Wire on Monday 13th Oct 2014

London born, well known comedic actor, Kenneth Williams died in 1988 but his memory still lives on. Kenneth was born off the Caledonian Road in 1926 and for many years he lived in a succession of homes around the Kings Cross and Bloomsbury areas.

One of these was a flat on Upper Woburn Place, in Endsleigh Court - a large and impressive 1930's purpose built block for which he paid £800 for the lease. Stanley Baxter, the Scottish born actor and impressionist suggested that he and Williams share the flat as work was bringing him to London. Williams's response to this was "I could no more share a flat with anyone than I could fly". Williams lived there for three years during the late 1950's and really enjoyed the flat.

We, at Frank Harris, have the pleasure of now being instructed to sell the flat which is on the market at £395,000, just off Tavistock Square and less than a five minute walk to Euston Station. The flat has recently been painted and measures 34sq m. The tenure of the flat is leasehold with approximately 67 years remaining.

A real opportunity to live in a property that once belonged to a British legend.
