H&M Receives Industry Mover Sustainability Award 2015

News provided by Pressat Wire on Monday 26th Jan 2015

This week the sustainability investment specialists RobecoSAM published their Sustainability Yearbook 2015. H&M received the award as Industry Mover in the retailing industry.

It is the second time H&M receives the Industry Mover award, which recognises the company in each industry that has achieved the largest proportional improvement in its sustainability performance compared to the previous year.

"We are proud of the inclusion in the Sustainability Yearbook and the Industry Mover award. It is a great recognition of H&M's sustainability engagement and our continued achievements", says Anna Gedda, Head of Sustainability H&M

RobecoSAM's Sustainability Yearbook looks back at companies' sustainability performance in 2014 and is regarded as one of the world's most comprehensive publication on corporate sustainability performance. Michael Baldinger, CEO RobecoSAM, emphasises that the Sustainability Yearbook is a compass for investors looking for companies across all industries with a competitive edge – based on corporate sustainability criteria. This year RoceboSAM assessed 1,995 companies across 59 industries. The top 15% per industry are included in the yearbook.

RobecoSAM is also responsible for conducting the globally recognised Dow Jones Sustainable Indices assessments. Here H&M has been included in the Dow Jones World Index for the past three consecutive years.
