Award winning craft cider makers Sheppy's have captured summer in a bottle with their new Cider with Elderflower. Created by popular demand, this lightly sparkling Somerset cider combines a light dessert apple cider, with the fragrant overtones of elderflower. The very essence of warm hazy evenings.

Cider and elderflower have long enjoyed a wonderful partnership. The taste and style developed with this new cider concentrates on the aroma and real flavours of the apple, with an infusion of aromatic elderflower - giving it a deliciously floral nose. Cider with Elderflower is a fine accompaniment to summer dishes, salads and picnics - or just as great on its own. Naturally gluten free, Cider with Elderflower is available in 500ml bottles (ABV 4%).

This year is a very special year for Sheppy's. It marks their bicentenary - 200 years of traditional cider making. Head Cider Maker and Managing Director David Sheppy is sixth generation, and thanks to this incredible heritage he brings a wealth of knowledge, skill and passion to the Sheppy's family of craft ciders. Cider with Elderflower is the latest addition, following on from the launch in March of the bicentennial Old Conky; joining its sister flavoured ciders - Cider with Blackberry and Elderflower, and Cider with Raspberry. Sheppy's range of ciders are available in bottle, bag in box and keg - for on-trade, retail and foodservice.

David Sheppy, Managing Director of Sheppy's, said: "We were constantly being asked if we could produce a cider with elderflower, so how could we refuse! Like all Sheppy's ciders, we have remained true to the core ingredient - the apple. All of our ciders are allowed to mature fully to bring out a real depth of flavour. Our new Cider with Elderflower has a subtle infusion of elderflower added to it, and the result is a fantastic combination of rural flavours that really do work beautifully together on the palate."
