European Research Council Awards £9M In Grants To Bristol Academics

The European Research Council (ERC) will award a total of £9M in grants to Bristol academics under its Advanced Grant scheme. These grants support exceptional, professorial-level research leaders in undertaking ground-breaking, high-impact research projects.

University of Bristol recipients of the ERC Advanced Grants include:

'The European Research Council's Advanced Grants are awarded to established academics who have a track-record of significant research achievements. The sole criterion for these grants is excellence.

'The fact that four University of Bristol academics have been awarded such significant grants is testament to the exceptional nature of their research, and reinforces the University of Bristol's position at the forefront of ground-breaking research,' said Professor Nishan Canagarajah, Pro Vice Chancellor for Research.
