Clean sweep at Devon Awards for Michael Caines Hotel and Restaurant

Kentisbury Grange Hotel and The Coach House by Michael Caines take home two Gold Awards for Restaurant Of The Year and Small Hotel Of The Year at the 2015 Devon Tourism Awards.

North Devon, England, 2nd December 2015 – The past few months have seen Kentisbury Grange Hotel and onsite restaurant, The Coach House by Michael Caines, go from strength to strength as their partnership with Michael Caines MBE continues.

The two AA Rosette restaurant has always been popular with local foodies and went up against a number of top Devon restaurants to win gold for Restaurant Of The Year. This award comes shortly after The Coach House by Michael Caines won Best Hotel Restaurant at the Devon Life Awards earlier last month.

Michael Caines said of the awards “After an exciting year working with the team at Kentisbury Grange, I was thrilled to hear that we were shortlisted for the Devon Life and Devon Tourism Awards, which celebrate the best that Devon has to offer.

“To be awarded gold for both Small Hotel of The Year and Restaurant of The Year at the Devon Tourism Awards is a real honour and our greatest achievement to date at Kentisbury Grange. What a year 2015 has been!”

Michael Caines recently announced that he would be stepping down from his long term position as Head Chef at Gidleigh Park in Mid Devon to pursue and focus on his other ventures, including The Coach House by Michael Caines, new restaurant Pearls in Abu Dhabi and new hotel Lympstone Manor due to open early 2017.

The team at Kentisbury Grange is looking forward to seeing what 2016 will bring as their partnership with the celebrated chef continues to thrive.
