Channel 5 Participates In 'World CSI Day'

Channel 5 are proudly joining in World CSI Day, a global attempt to break the Guinness World Records® title for world's largest TV drama simulcast.

The CSI episode being shown at midnight on the 4th March 2015 on 5USA is CSI: Crime Scene Investigation S14 Episode#1421 titled 'Kitty'. This episode, which served as the pilot for CSI: Cyber will be shown simultaneously in more than 150 countries.

The event will celebrate 15 years of the CSI franchise, one of the biggest and most successful in the world and the U.S. premiere of CSI: Cyber. CSI: Cyber, starring Academy Award® Winner Patricia Arquette, is the next generation and fourth series in the CSI franchise.

The current record for the largest TV drama simulcast was achieved by the special 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who, which was broadcast in 98 countries across six continents in November 2013.

The worldwide simulcast at 12:00 GMT will take place on March 4 or March 5, depending on the country's time zone.
