Most people are attracted to the idea of a holiday romance, but they can lead to heartbreak and financial ruin. This three-part documentary series tells the stories of the women who have been promised eternal love, but have ended up handing over thousands of pounds and being left broken hearted by holiday love rats.

Episode Three
Fifty-four-year-old Tracy spent thousands on holidays with Bulent, her Turkish lover, including £2k on a business loan. But when she found airline tickets and a letter from another woman in his suitcase she confronted him. The relationship ended but Tracey had been on dozens of expensive trips, paying for hotels and handing over numerous gifts. Tracy won a court case to reclaim the business loan and won, but so far hasn't seen a penny. She's now on a mission and travels to Turkey to get her money back.

Fifty-one-year-old Anne Marie's whirlwind romance with a much younger Gambian man calling himself Billy quickly led to her getting pregnant and a fairy tale wedding in The Gambia. But as soon as they returned to the UK, and he had secured his visa, the relationship spiralled into debt. Anne Marie was a single parent and recently divorced and this relationship was meant to change everything for the better, but instead her life turned into a nightmare. He's gone missing and she has no idea where he is. So with over £14,000 of debts that will take 17 years to pay back she goes on a mission to find him.

Fifty-six-year-old Corrine was a semi-professional artist exhibiting in Egypt when she met Taher, an Egyptian lawyer with whom she fell in love. They married on a return journey but they could not get him into the USA. While the visa application dragged on she would wire money to him and spent thousands on legal fees. When he finally arrived in the USA Corrine was very excited, but he seemed less than pleased. Within 30 days he had had enough but before flying home to Egypt, he took thousands out of her savings account. She has been left in debt and heart broken.

Fifty-six-year-old Elaine's Turkish love Adem, 35, had already married one unfortunate British holiday maker when she met him. Elaine thought she'd found her 'Mr Right' but it all went very wrong. When Adem's visa from his first marriage ran out he proposed to Elaine and they got married. Elaine claims Adem would contribute little to the household but sent money home to his family in Turkey. Within days of receiving a British Passport he left, only contacting her 10 months later to file for divorce and forcing Elaine to pay him £6,000 worth of equity from her property and his £2,000 in legal fees.
