Special Premiere Event on 30th March 2015, with live performances by O'Connell and Love and Special Guests from Alabama 3 + special guest soon to be announced

Trinity Film announces that new British gangster film Hackney's Finest will be released in UK cinemas from 3rd April 2015 and on DVD and On Demand from 13th April 2015. The film's release will be preceded by a special film premiere event at Genesis Cinema and Bar Paragon on 30th March, with the premiere screening followed by an exclusive after-party with live music by O'Connell and Love, a guest from Alabama 3 and very special guests.

Inspired by the heroin scene in Hackney in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Hackney's Finest is an irreverent and darkly comic tale of greed, corruption and survival, told with a wink and a knowing smile. It is the first feature from writer Thorin Seex and director Chris Bouchard (The Hunt For Gollum – the phenomenally successful viral short film), and is produced in association with Framestore, the Academy Award-winning digital studio behind Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity.

The film stars a host of established and up-and-coming British talents including Enoch Frost (Skyfall, Outpost, Shifty), Arin Alldridge (The Bill, The Hunt For Gollum, The Cost Of Love), Neerja Naik (Life Goes On, Sold), Malcolm Tomlinson (Emmerdale), Sean Cronin (The Hooligan Wars, The Callback Queen) and Rajan Sharma (After It Fell, Fuji), as well as Nathanael Wiseman who is making his feature film debut.

Hackney's Finest follows Sirus (Nathanael Wiseman), a courier controller come small-time drug dealer who gets caught in an elaborate trap set by two corrupt policemen with a private vendetta against him and his motley crew. What follows is a riotous night of violence between Sirus, the detectives and an unlikely bunch of Welsh-Jamaican arms dealers, drug-trafficking Afghan cousins and unrelenting Russian thugs.

Director Chris Bouchard said: "I'm thrilled that Hackney's Finest is going to premiere in East London, right where the film was conceived. We made this with a genuine fondness for East London, and it's a funny, powered up slice of entertainment with great, unusual characters. It's a 100% British film so it's fantastic that it will be released in the UK through select cinemas, DVD and On Demand."

To celebrate the film's upcoming release, its special premiere event on 30th March at East London's oldest screening venue, Genesis Cinema will begin with the premiere of Hackney's Finest, and follow with live sets at Bar Paragon from acoustic duo O'Connell and Love and special guests from acclaimed electro-rock band Alabama 3, both of which feature on the film's official soundtrack.

Doors will open at 8.00pm with a DJ set from Vindi Love, with the film beginning at 9.00pm. Live performances from 10.30pm til late night with a further guest to be announced soon. Early bird tickets are priced at £11 until 20th March 2015.
