In partnership with SSAT (The Schools Network) Ltd, Pearson Publishing has produced a new mobile app to support school improvement. Showcased at the SSAT Achievement Show on Thursday 26th June and coming soon via the nimbl mobile learning platform, Ofsted: Passport to Success is designed to help schools prepare for Ofsted inspections as well as support school improvement more generally. A pilot version is currently being trialled by a group of teachers and school leaders.
Using nimbl's progress tracking, the app offers teachers and other school staff a new way to flag up their concerns and provide evidence of good practice for CPD, while allowing school leaders the opportunity to take the temperature in the build up to an inspection and put in extra support systems as required.
Commenting on the launch of the pilot, SSAT's Head of Data and Self-Evaluation, Colin Logan said:
"At SSAT, we're delighted to be teaming up with Pearson Publishing to develop new ways of sharing our resources with schools. SSAT is a membership organisation that seeks to help all schools become outstanding - in every sense of the word. We offer a wide programme of support for schools that includes data, leadership and teaching and learning, and the nimbl mobile learning format has potentially huge possibilities for us. It will help colleagues in schools to access our support in a way that is in keeping with how people now work."
