8 hour overnight obstacle course by father who lost his 9 y/o son to cancer

News provided by Samuel's Charity on Wednesday 9th May 2018

On the 12th May Europe's Toughest Mudder is held at Belvoir Castle in Grantham. Martin, Samuel's dad is running it with two friends, one who works at the hospital where Samuel stayed.

Martin runs the small charity called Samuel's Charity. The charity was started in October 2013 just after Samuel was diagnosed with a very rare cancer. Samuel knew firsthand just how awful, painful and scary it is to suffer a serious or terminal illness. He wanted to help the other kids. He wanted to give them something to smile about in an otherwise dark and scary time.

Martin says, "My son Samuel suffered so much but his concern was for the other kids. He set me the example and I won't let him down"

The charity supports local hospitals with much needed and normally unaffordable equipment to reduce pain, entertainment equipment for the kids, re-decoration and refurbishment of the children's wards and gifts and last wishes for individual children. We know that Every Child Needs a Smile.
