40 Young Business Leaders Committed to Building a Better World Gather in Scotland

News provided by Power of Youth on Wednesday 5th Nov 2014

On the 8th and 9th of October, a Scottish House in the countryside will host 46 people who are all coming together for one single reason - to build a better world through business.

Entrepreneurs from across Scotland, England and abroad are spending the weekend together to connect with their own purpose, to reflect on their capabilities as leaders and to develop their company's values - all while building relationships that form an active and agile network of purpose-driven entrepreneurs who are relentlessly committed to improving the world for all, using their enterprises and roles as leaders as the vehicles.

The event, The Naked Entrepreneur, is hosted by Power of Youth who hold a vision for all entrepreneurs to be driven by a purpose greater than profit and for all businesses to be working toward building a better world in whatever ways they can.

This an opportunity for the highest quality young-spirited entrepreneurs to role-model a new paradigm of business - where qualities like purpose, openness, love, collaboration, humility, connection, service and sharing can drive business forward. Leading lights and award winners from high-impact businesses such as Kotikan, Ocere, ISSOS, Floatapp, Living The Dream and Blazing Griffin are attending as well as early stage entrepreneurs who are just starting out on their entrepreneurial journey.

This particular weekend has been sponsored by The Big Lottery and the Scottish Government so all participants have had their places funded, to ensure that the event is inclusive of all those who are bought into the vision, regardless of their current income.

It is an place for the entrepreneurs to just be. There is no pitching, no selling, no masks, just an opportunity for them to be themselves and take a step back from their day to day work and connect with like-minded and like-hearted people in a highly engaging and interactive conference.

Other than naturally occurring partnerships and collaborations, each entrepreneur goes back to their business to instil within it values that are led in action - while the entrepreneurs themselves are refreshed, inspired and clear on their own purpose so that they can live their lives fully alive and in service to all that are around them. POY then creates opportunities for the entrepreneurs to continually reconnect with their own purpose, their own values and with one another.

Should anyone wish to be part of building a better world through business, please get in touch with the Power of Youth team who are dedicated to creating opportunities for all to be able to contribute towards this vision of a world that can look after all of its inhabitants.
